Hi, I'm Kristin!
I'm a photographer working in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I specialize in photographing high school seniors! I take on a few weddings, engagements, & families each year as well. I'm always willing to travel elsewhere to photograph, especially for weddings!
I’ve been photographing the world around me since age 13. I first started taking photography seriously at age 17 when I would do fun shoots with my friends. It soon turned into a love of portraiture and I began photographing my friends senior portraits. I decided I wanted to dive in deeper to the world of photography and headed off to college to learn as much as I could. I graduated from Edinboro University with a BFA in Applied Media Arts with a concentration in Photography and minors in drawing and printmaking. Creating new art, no matter what it is, is very therapeutic for me, which is why I think I get so much joy out of this career. The feeling of making something even more beautiful than it already is with photography is just so satisfying; and bringing the photo to life in post-processing and making it essentially an art piece, is what I am in love with the most. One of my favorite parts of this job is showing my clients their images. I love seeing and hearing my clients reactions when I deliver their image gallery. They can’t believe that’s them in the photos. I get to give my clients that special moment in time that I was able to freeze for them - a moment that they can keep forever. That is what keeps me motivated, inspired, and loving what I do.
When I’m not photographing, I'm also an avid bird watcher, or birder as us nerds like to call ourselves. My husband Beege (Brian Jr.) and I love to be outside taking hikes, soaking up the sun, birds, animals and all the nature any chance that we get. Our favorite thing to do is to spend time with our little jack russell pup Wally. Dog park days make the world go around. We’ve been married since June 2018 and we love living each day with each other and little Wally.
More fun facts about me:
I have 6 nieces and nephews, don’t drink coffee, love to sing - especially a night out doing karaoke, love sweets especially ice cream and donuts, I’m NEVER bored, and I can probably name you any bird sound heard in western PA. If I never became a photographer, I definitely would have went to school for ornithology.
